With growth and development came the need for cultural identity awareness both for the young and old, with that the association of Anambra state Development unions Aba came into being. At that initial stage it was all inclusive. The uniqueness of the association was that it was an assembly of town unions, with the town unions being members on representive basis (4 members to represent each town union). Also is uniqueness is also in the organizational structure. There is the executive branch .the advisory council, the chairmen’s forum general assembly.

The first president General was chief Sir Albert Ibeanu Ezeani Ochiliozuo,an industrialist and electronics merchant with the likes of Nnamni (Enitonia Hotel) Arc, J.A Nwobi Eddy igwah (president General peoples club worldwide); chief chuks Momah SAN Nwokike, chief steve obudegwu-Umeadi and a host of other dignitaries’

When IBB created Enugu state in 1991 and separated it from Anambra state they both continued as one. They even celebrated the cultural festival together, it was then called Anambra and Enugu day in Aba(A.E.D.I.A) though at inception it was A.D.I.A Anambra day in Aba (A.D.I.A).

Later as separate entity, Anambra state indigenes continued the associasion of Anambra state development unions in Aba. Then Arc J.A Nwobi became the president General with Steve Umeadi(Okemili). Josiah onyemaemu, Jeluo Esset, Engr Dennis Okafor (ojinkeyaeme)etc; as executives.

Then in 2004 a new executive committee was formed, they were Dr S.C Okolo MFR, M.D New Era Hospitals and a host of other private companies, he is also the chairman National Association of chambers of commerce industry, Mines and Agriculture as president General Engr Dennis
